John Nova Phillips papers relating to Violet Keppel Trefusis, 1953-2008.

Collection of letters and other materials relating to Violet Keppel Trefusis. Correspondence consists of eight handwritten letters, one incomplete, from Phillips to Trefusis dating from 1961 to 1967. Other materials consist of an electronic draft, dating from 2008, of Phillips's autobiographical A Romantic In Europe, 1951-1972, which documents his friendship with Trefusis, as well as life and travel in Europe, and a printed version of a play, "La clef est sous mon paillasson" by Vidame de Belley, in which one of the characters is based on Trefusis. The play, annotated by Bettina Bergery, is attributed to Prince Rodolphe de Faucigny-Lucinge.
